What happens to your files

Frequently asked questions
Does this change my original file?
No. The tool creates a new PDF containing the pages you kept. The file on your device is not modified, and nothing is uploaded to Docstools.
Why is there a confirmation step?
Removing pages is the one operation here you cannot reverse by running the tool again, so the confirmation restates how many pages will go and how many will remain before anything happens.
Can I remove every page?
No. A PDF needs at least one page, so the tool will not let you select all of them. If you meant to discard the whole document, simply delete the file instead.
Why are the pages shown as numbered tiles instead of previews?
Showing a picture of each page needs a full PDF renderer, which Docstools does not load yet. Each tile shows the page number and its size in points, and you can type page ranges directly, which is faster than hunting through thumbnails in a long document.
Do the remaining pages stay in order?
Yes. The pages you keep stay in their original order and keep their original size, orientation and content.
